The Toledo Jazz Society strives to preserve and increase appreciation for America’s unique music form — Jazz. We accomplish our goals by going into classrooms to introduce children to the excitement and beauty of jazz and by sponsoring live performances, including The Art Tatum Jazz Heritage Festival, The Toledo Jazz Orchestra concert series, The Art Tatum Scholarship Concert, presented with The University of Toledo Department of Music and Dance, Jazz in the Garden performances.

Educational programs and performances frequently highlight local jazz artists and composers, providing the community with the rare opportunity to experience jazz in its purest form. The TJS also brings the finest names in jazz to our area to further showcase the unique sounds in jazz.

The Toledo Jazz Society, founded in 1980, is a not-for-profit organization.
