Toledo native Art Tatum is universally considered
to be the greatest jazz pianist of all time. The Toledo
Jazz Society honors Tatum with a two-day outdoor program
featuring some of the best musicians in the world, performing
a wide variety of jazz and blues.
The festival has a KidsJazz area for young jazz lovers
from 3 PM to 7 PM each day. Staffed by the Toledo School
for the Arts, with hands-on activities for pre-school
through Grade 3.
To kick off the festival celebration, the Toledo Jazz
Society, epic of Toledo and The Arts Commission of Great
Toledo will present the Jazz
Loop (click here for website) Friday, June 15. Hop
the bus and visit the 9 clubs in Downtown Toledo that
are celebrating Jazz.
